Uterus Problem

Womb, or uterus, problems encompass a variety of conditions, including common issues like fibroids, endometriosis, and uterine polyps, as well as less common issues like adenomyosis and uterine prolapse. Symptoms can include heavy or irregular vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, difficulty conceiving, and pain during sex, while some conditions may be asymptomatic until a problem arises, such as infertility or a diagnosed abnormality. Diagnosis often involves imaging tests like ultrasounds, physical exams, and lab tests, and treatment depends on the specific condition but can include medication, hormone therapy, or surgery.

Common Symptoms Of The Womb Problem

Symptoms vary depending on the condition but can include:-

• Abnormal or heavy vaginal bleeding
• Pain in the pelvis, lower abdomen, or back
• Irregular or painful periods (dysmenorrhea)
• Pressure or a feeling of fullness in the pelvic area
• Frequent urination or difficulty emptying the bladder
• Difficulty getting pregnant or recurrent miscarriages

Cancer of the uterus

Cancer of the uterus, also known as womb or uterine cancer, primarily refers to endometrial cancer, which begins in the uterine lining, and the less common uterine sarcoma, which develops in the muscle or supportive tissues. Key symptoms include abnormal vaginal bleeding, especially after menopause, pelvic pain, or pressure. Treatment typically involves surgery, such as a hysterectomy, often combined with radiation or chemotherapy. Uterine cancer, often referred to as endometrial cancer, is the most common gynecologic cancer and begins when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably in the uterus. Early detection is key, as the prognosis is often very good when treated before it spreads.
